I need people to post what to talk about. So far I am still working and working on my knitting projects so nothing really new. Lets take a topic and discuss.;)

My new niece

My sister in law is so lucky. One push and my niece was here. A beautiful baby name Alexandria. Here is a picture of her and my son, Jake.

work work

Le sigh. I am a delivery driver for a company that goes around picking up food from restaurants and delivers it to customers home. Now granted I went to school for medical assistant, was able to find a job right out of school but then laid off a year later. So I have been trying to find another job but no luck as I'm not bilingual. So I deliver food. Which isn't bad. I actually enjoy it most days. Good for me is that we have been busy. Bad is that i work weird hours and home-school my 7 year old, so the last couple days I haven't gotten any knitting done. Unless its as 1am :) Here are a couple pictures of some washcloths I made my mom for Christmas.

Knitting for charity

On the forums that I love to browse, etsy and raverly, there are a fair amount of people knitting for charity. I really want to do that. I will start knitting hats for newborns as soon as I am finished with my soon to be here niece's blanket. Which hopefully wont take very long. I started it yesterday and I am about 3 inches into it. I have been working on all different projects that I hurt my finger :( I just need to stop using it so much to push those needles. Here is a great site for the day.

My opening statement

I just liked how that sounded. :) Hello there! My name is Vicki. I am 26 years old and live in Nevada United state. I am a self taught knitter. By that I mean I found this cheap kit at walmart which held a book and one pair of needles. After reading the book and trying it out for the first time. I was hooked. That was only Nov 2010. I know not that long ago. Anyways, I decided to post a blog and here it is. Short but sweet. Here is a picture of a great newborn hat that I managed to finish  few days ago. Currently I am working on a feather and fan blanket.
